Pre-Sales Technical Consultant

As we scale, we’re seeking a Pre-Sales Technical Consultant to join our high-performing team and to support our enterprise customer growth across new and existing markets.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and manage a pipeline of qualified leads using a consultative sales approach.

  • Support technical aspects of the sales cycle from initial discovery through to solution design and implementation support.

  • Own and deliver compelling product demonstrations tailored to customer-specific use cases and requirements.

  • Understand customer technical environments and work closely with Engineering and Product teams to shape and propose best-fit solutions.

  • Collaborate on RFP responses, solution architecture diagrams and technical documentation to support enterprise deals.

  • Lead proof-of-concept (POC) engagements, including configuration, onboarding support, and integration guidance.

  • Articulate and demonstrate how Atomic products can enhance customer business operations.

  • Act as a trusted advisor for prospective and existing customers on Atomic's SDKs, APIs, and platform capabilities.

  • Provide feedback to the Atomic Product and Engineering capabilities based on market and customer insights to help inform roadmap priorities.

  • Assist the customer success team with technical support and interface with the development and engineering team for technical escalation

What we’re looking for

  • 3+ years in a pre-sales or technical consulting roles – ideally in SaaS, API platforms, or enterprise software.

  • Strong technical proficiency – able to understand and explain APIs, SDKs, authentication protocols (OAuth, SSO), and cloud environments.

  • Experience working with enterprise customers in Banking, Insurance, Government, or highly regulated sectors is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – confident presenting to both technical and senior executive stakeholders.

  • Ability to travel occasionally to customer sites or events across New Zealand, Australia, and the UK.

  • Proven success in full-cycle sales: prospecting, qualifying, negotiating and closing.

  • Understanding of customer success metrics and enterprise buying cycles.

  • Strong problem- solving mindset, Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
