Pre-Sales Technical Consultant
As we scale, we’re seeking a Pre-Sales Technical Consultant to join our high-performing team and to support our enterprise customer growth across new and existing markets.
Key responsibilities
Build and manage a pipeline of qualified leads using a consultative sales approach.
Support technical aspects of the sales cycle from initial discovery through to solution design and implementation support.
Own and deliver compelling product demonstrations tailored to customer-specific use cases and requirements.
Understand customer technical environments and work closely with Engineering and Product teams to shape and propose best-fit solutions.
Collaborate on RFP responses, solution architecture diagrams and technical documentation to support enterprise deals.
Lead proof-of-concept (POC) engagements, including configuration, onboarding support, and integration guidance.
Articulate and demonstrate how Atomic products can enhance customer business operations.
Act as a trusted advisor for prospective and existing customers on Atomic's SDKs, APIs, and platform capabilities.
Provide feedback to the Atomic Product and Engineering capabilities based on market and customer insights to help inform roadmap priorities.
Assist the customer success team with technical support and interface with the development and engineering team for technical escalation
What we’re looking for
3+ years in a pre-sales or technical consulting roles – ideally in SaaS, API platforms, or enterprise software.
Strong technical proficiency – able to understand and explain APIs, SDKs, authentication protocols (OAuth, SSO), and cloud environments.
Experience working with enterprise customers in Banking, Insurance, Government, or highly regulated sectors is a plus.
Excellent communication and presentation skills – confident presenting to both technical and senior executive stakeholders.
Ability to travel occasionally to customer sites or events across New Zealand, Australia, and the UK.
Proven success in full-cycle sales: prospecting, qualifying, negotiating and closing.
Understanding of customer success metrics and enterprise buying cycles.
Strong problem- solving mindset, Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
